I have owned my tinsel for almost 25 years (oh my is that even possible? LOL) they sparkle like the day I bought them. I have 300 and use them on a fresh tree. They make the tree magical. I get a tremendous amount of compliments and inquires. I always suggest Lee Valley as the place to buy them. Have gotten a few friends “hooked” {pun intended) over the years. I just joined a Christmas group on facebook and spread the word about your lovely tinsel to the group. Thanks Pieterma Tin Works, I am proud that you are a made in Canada company, wishing you much continued success.

Thanks for the great feedback! And thanks for getting friends “hooked” – We love that!

Our neighbour gave these to us as a gift about 15 years ago. We use them on the Christmas tree every year and they’re beautiful. They sparkle without looking gaudy. Unfortunately as careful as I try to be, we wind up throwing a couple out with the tree every year. We’re down to about 20 of them now so I’m so happy to find your site and see where I can buy another can of them. So smart of you to put your contact information on the can!
    Thanks.

I had two sets of these that sparkled on our tree for over 10 years. We counted them when removing them from the before recycling our tree each year so as not to lose any. I purchased them at Bronners Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth Michigan. They were lost in the Midland Floods along with all my other Christmas ornaments. Bronners did not have them on my most recent visit. I would love to purchase two new sets when and if the are available here again.

      Hi Kim,

I’m so sorry that I’m just getting back to you now. I never received your message in my email and I just noticed it on the website while I was going over a few things. If you email me your shipping address and phone number I can get a shipping quote for you before I send off two containers. Please send the email to garrett@pietersmatinworks.com

      Cheers,
      Garrett

I bought these 20+ years ago. These tinsels are just as beautiful now as when I bought them. Everyone who sees my Christmas tree asks where I found them, I give them this website. I hope the new owner does not change a thing about the design of this tinsel because they are the loveliest I’ve ever seen. I’m trying to buy more for family, but they are out of stock.

bought the original silver tinsel with hook years ago at a Christmas market. Now I want to buy more for my niece for next year in her new home. I love that they add such a nice antique look on my tree of home made ornaments.
I understand you are currently relocating would you rather I wait to order or can I place an order & you will fill when you have stock?
    thank you

      Hi Sherry,

Thank you for your interest in our products! I was able to get a small batch of the tinsel done this season and will be updating the website within the week to show the inventory on hand. Please keep an eye on the site and you’ll be able to place an order at that time.

      Thank you again!

Like the other reviews, I have had my tinsel for years. Now that we moved, our ceiling height allows for a taller tree. As a result, I need more Victorian tinsel! I look forward to hearing when this beautiful product is in stock again.

      Hi Susan,

I’m hoping to add some inventory to the website this week! Thank you for liking our products!

I just bought these, and they’re awesome! I only bought one jar because I wasn’t sure how it would look. It’s WAY better than the plastic stuff, and cheaper in the long run since it’s reusable. I think 1 jar might be enough for a small tree, but you’d better go 2-3 for 6-7ft trees. It just kind of depends on the style you’re going for, but after putting up one jar I wish I’d ordered 2-3 on my ~7ft tree because it looks so good and reflects the light very well. Beautiful!

I bought the Victorian Christmas Tinsel almost 40 years ago at a “home party” of some sort. As others have mentioned, the tinsel is as sparkling today as the day I bought them. I would be very interested in knowing if you ever make them in a pale pink or copper.
    Love your products!
